Sage Meadow is Clarion’s first establishment for all your special dietary and organic food needs.

Sage Meadow is owned and operated by Pat McFarland and has been in business for over six years. Having been a vegetarian for almost two decades, Pat has come to learn much about the special dietary needs of vegetarians and people with various food allergies.

It is with this knowledge that Pat decided to open Sage Meadow on Main Street in Clarion. Her store carries products that cater to those with lactose intolerance, diabetes, and other hard-to-find dietary needs.

Sage Meadow's main focus is on the food allergy known as gluten intolerance. Gluten intolerance is caused by celiac disease, which causes the gluten protein in many wheat products to react negatively with the digestive system. Since many products are made from wheats and grains that contain gluten, Sage Meadow knows how difficult it can be for people with this condition to find food products that fit their diet. That's why we offer such a wide array of gluten-free foods.

Sage Meadow also offers classes and lectures to educate customers on organic cooking and alternative healing methods to improve everyday life. These classes and lectures cover the topics of diabetes and diabetic cooking, osteoporosis, the use of herbs, juicing, color therapy, acupressure, and much more.
